After having total knee replacement surgery, I was instructed to go to rehabilitation. I had several places to choose from. I chose Spectrum because it wasn't too far from my home.
They only did a few things during my session, but most of the time is was just waiting around. I would pay my co-pay when I first got there.
For some reason they claim that I did not pay a co-pay of $20. They had contacted me about it and I told them I would check my bank account and get back with them. I checked and found I had made several co-payments, but then I got distracted and forgot to call them back to let them know I had paid on the date that they claim I didn't.
Never heard a word from them, so I had forgotten all about it, until one day I got a notice in the mail from a collection agency! I paid it, but for them to send it to a collection agency for $20 is just ridiculous.
I admit, I should have taken care of business right away, but, of course, they want their money, no matter how much it is. Live and learn. But I sure wish businesses would contact the consumer to at least give them a chance to pay up. I'm not ruining my credit over $20, so I paid. BUT I'M NEVER GOING BACK TO THOSE JERKS AGAIN. The only nice person was the receptionist. The physical therapists were cranky and didn't want to be there. They made an unpleasant time MORE unpleasant by being snooty.
